Even though I design bags, I come across certain designers that make me want to give in and buy a high end bag sometimes…enter Gryson!
Definitely worth saving up for!! The Turnstyle collection REALLY caught my attention and is exactly my style. It’s a mixture between color and neutral, classic and funky, new and vintage. I LOVE the turnstyle locks on each bag and the softness of their leather. Here are some of my favorites from all of the collections!

I love a good DIY project and usually have several going at one time. I don’t discriminate either, I do DIY for both home decor and clothing and accessories! Recently, Ruche.com added a new feature to their online shop. They now have a whole section dedicated to DIY projects and include them in their Look Books! Check it out:

Here are some of my favorites…

Here they are…the after pictures! It was TONS of work but we were all really happy about the final results! I think everyone’s favorite is the kitchen which is NOT allowed to be called a kitchen but instead Cocina Cafe!

Entering the kitchen

Eating area (the Cocina Cafe)

The Cocina Cafe

the cabinets (we added the shelf above the sink) I forgot to take a picture of the back door to the left. They open it while eating so it feels like a real cafe. It opens to deck/walkways for all the apts. We hung a litte Cafe sign above it!

stove (we added the little spice shelf)

A place for aprons!

My vintage Coco Cola box got a new home on top of the fridge. I had it in my room when I was a teen.

Entering the living room from the kitchen/hallway.

the 'new' chaise lounge we bought from Craigslist!

Door to 'balcony' which is just a faux balcony but you can put plants on it. The apt across from them has a little puppy that sits out on their balcony!

Faux fireplace with Saint candles and nick nacks. Also the red shelf that we inherited from Des' dorm roommate! (she just abandoned it and several other items so we kept it as a reward for all the cleaning we had to do!!)

Entry

Anna's antique desk and her dad's art to the right in the black frame!

Entry to Des' room

Des' room, looking in from doorway

DIY shelves and lampshade art feature by us!!

I learned to tie a mean cinch knot!!

Des' bed with canopy and vintage suitcase side table!

Des' closet! (not quite finished unpacking)

Ms. Trixie!! We painted her (she was flesh toned) and added the fake eyelashes! Des' artwork around the top of the room!

Des' doorway and ladder from IKEA so she can get to her books.

Bathroom...nothing great but we cleaned a lot!! New shower curtain coming soon!!

Anna's poo log....I don't know!

Bathroom with Anna's dad's art above the toilet!

Anna's room (not quite finished but getting there!)

Anna's room continued.

Other side of Anna's room. (her canopy is there and still needs to be hung over the bed)
